Bacon Wrapped Dates

If I had a picture I would share it with you. But, well, you see, these little gems sort of disappeared before I could even get my hands on my iPhone. So instead, I guess I can tell you they were good. So good. They are kind of similar to these bacon wrapped water chestnuts that my cousin makes for Thanksgiving every year. Those are really popular with the family so I figured I’d give it a try with dates instead of water chestnuts. I was not disappointed. These might have to become a tradition as well…

Ingredients:

6 slices of bacon, cut into 4″ lengths

12 pitted Medjool dates

Toothpicks

Preparation:

Wrap each Medjool date with a piece of bacon and secure with toothpick. Place in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Turn occasionally until bacon in brown and crisp on all sides. Drain on paper towel and serve warm.

Cheers-

Susan
